The Open Table and St Bride’s Christmas carol extravaganza is back Sunday, 21st December 2025! Join the Open Table Liverpool Orchestra and the Liverpool Rainbow Chorus as we sing loads of your favourite carols with inspiring readings both traditional and contemporary. You are invited Sunday, 16th November for a special service in honour of Transgender Day of Remembrance. The service will be led by the Rt Revd Ruth Worsley, Interim Bishop of Liverpool.

Each November Open Table Liverpool dedicates its monthly communion service to Transgender Day of Remembrance (TdoR). This is a day when people all over the world remember those who have been killed as a result of transphobia. This is always a special service. Come along and join your voice and prayers with ours remembering those who have died and recommitting ourselves to building a world where all can be free of violence and to live authentic lives.

Join us for a creative and nurturing one-day retreat led by the Revd Anne Lawlor to explore how as LGBTQIA+ people we bring faith, embodiment, and identity together like a mosaic. Drawing on research that highlights both the pain of conflict with church tradition and the healing found through spirituality, this retreat offers space to reflect, share, and imagine new ways of encountering God beyond patriarchal and heteronormative boundaries. By creating our own mosaic we will explore what God means to us and how God is present in the reality of all of our lives.

Join Sarah Jones as she embarks on a UK wide speaking tour with her Everyday Normal sessions.

The debate about trans people has become incredibly toxic. The Supreme Court Judgment of April 2025 has had major repercussions for the lives of transpeople in the UK. Each day brings a new report about trans activists or anti-trans activists. In the Everyday Normal sessions, Sarah explores the reality of being trans and of being outed as the first person to be ordained by the Church of England having previously made a gender change. We'll think about the issues and the concerns of today and we'll look to the future to see what that might hold.

We'll laugh together. We might cry. Everyday Normal is a life-affirming session for people who would like an entertaining exploration and who would like to understand trans issues for themselves.

Stu Williams from Open Table Liverpool will be bringing to life a musical written by his dad, "No Greater Love". Originally composed over 35 years ago. Stu has since reworked much of the music and co-written some newer songs — and we’re going to perform it next year!

We're looking for volunteers to take part with staging, costume, front of house, singing, acting etc.  There's a role for everyone whatever your gifts.

You’re invited to a special service to celebrate Liverpool’s Pride 2025

Liverpool Cathedral and Open Table are collaborating to host a reflective service that brings us together and celebrates the joy, vulnerability and visibility of Pride. Come and celebrate with us that all belong and have a home in our community.

Pride returns to Liverpool this July and you're invited to join in as Christians at Pride!

Join in on Saturday 26th July to march followed by events and community stalls at the M&S Bank Arena ending with a vigil at Liverpool Parish Church at 6.30pm.

Then on Sunday 27th July we'll be hosting a reflective service in the Lady Chapel of Liverpool Cathedral at 6.30pm to round off Pride weekend.

This month we welcome our dear friend the Revd Lilly Nelson to lead the service. Lilly is a priest in the Church of England, currently serving as Assistant Curate at St Peter’s Church, Formby. A long-time member of the Open Table, she speaks with gratitude about how it’s ministry—and the chosen family she found there—played a vital role in her journey toward ordination to the priesthood. It has been a long road to this moment, and she is absolutely delighted to be presiding. Lilly describes herself as ‘camp and sapphic’, embracing both her faith in Jesus and personal identity with joy and authenticity.

Join us for an evening of music and song, featuring the Liverpool Orchestrand and the Liverpool Community Choir.
