Our services are quite varied, often following a theme. Typically there is a contemporary liturgy, hymns or songs, a time for prayers - silent or spoken, with lighting of candles. There is often a talk with time for reflection or discussion afterwards. Some services are quite creative with music, art or an artistic installation expressing the theme. Brief times of silence to rest in the divine Presence are often included.

Holy Communion is usally celebrated on alternate Sundays. On the last Sunday of each month, we join with the two other churches in our team, in a joint service which rotates around our three buildings.

We meet here in St Bride’s on the last Sundays in January, April, July and September;

in St Dunstan’s (L7 6HD) also at 10am in February, May, August and November;

and in St Michael’s (L1 5BD) at the later time of 11.15am in March, June, October and December.

We welcome children and young people and provide creative colouring and lego tables for them to respond to the service in their own way. We don’t currently have enough volunteers to be running specific children’s church activiites, and we love their full participation in our services especially when, from time to time, they offer their own insightful and creative contributions. Please feel free to bring children of all ages along to services here, and don’t worry about them ‘disturbing’ anyone. God put the wriggle in the child and their shouts and noises bring a smile to our faces!

We aim to be a safe, welcoming and inclusive space where faith can be explored in a non-judgmental and open way with an emphasis on the value of questions, rather than cut and dried answers.  There is an emphasis on building community,  sacred activism for equality justice and peace, a safe and welcoming place for LGBTQIA+ people, and a pluralist approach to peoples of all faiths and none.
